how much do you think you are going to have?
Are you willing to buy used?
do you already have compressed air (HPA)?
do you need a hopper?
could you answer these so i have an idea of what to look at for you thanks Mike

I got a customized BT4 Combat.
-Woodland camo on the main body. -M4 hand guard w/ Apex barrel. -M4 collapsible stock. -Standard trigger mechanism (Semi-auto only), I can get something a little faster if you need it. -Standard 200 round hopper with the same Woodland camo.
I can even Throw in a couple 140round pods if you want 'em.

What kind of set-up are you looking for speedball or woodsball? If you're thinking woodsball you should look into the TM series. If you're thinking speddball the options are endless, answer Mike's questions and we can point you in the right direction...

I have a BT TM15 and TM7. Both are mislim wonders! They are light and sexy and can fire up to 20 bps which is more than enough firepower. They are also really easy to maintain after the first dissassembly. You just have to be careful to not crimp any wires.

I would get a Dangerous Power FX... I have owned a mini. Nothing special, and the FX is a lot better quality! It retails for 499$ tho but I have it and its great! Heard G4's and G3's had some leaking issues. Not sure if they've been dealt with yet... I had a BT TM15 I was selling.

If your looking to get into speedball and want durable, and easy to maintain, you want an Ego.
There's no need to buy the newest and greatest either. Look around for an 07/08 and see if you can work within the price range. From about 07 on, the biggest UPS from year to year is removing a bit of weight, so you won't lose out on the basics at all.
My $0.02.
